Residents urged to be prepared
(DAYTONA BEACH, AUG. 18, 2008) - The Florida's Coast to Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross is
making preparations for the possible impact of what may become Hurricane Fay.
The chapter activated Sunday afternoon. Volunteers and staff are taking inventory of supplies, checking their
communication equipment, and stocking the Emergency Response Vehicles with snacks and water.
"Now is the time for residents to prepare gathering their emergency supply kits, making a plan with family
members to know where they are going if told to evacuate, and staying informed about the storm by listening to
NOAA Weather Radio or local radio or TV stations," said Dan Roll, CEO for the chapter.
